On May 13, Minister Yu Guangzhou of the General Administration of China Customs (GACC), Vice Minister Sun Yibiao and Zhang Guangzhi (Member of the Board, GACC), met with Ms. Aly Van Berckel, Director-General for Tax and Customs of Netherlands, at the Headquarters of GACC.

Yu Guangzhou extended warm welcome to Ms. Berckel for attending the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. Ms. Berckel highly expressed appreciation on the Belt and Road Initiative and for being invited to the Forum. She also expressed her willingness to work closely with China Customs under the Belt and Road Initiative. Both sides spoke highly of bilateral cooperation on Customs. They exchanged views and reached consensus on issues such as cooperation relating Belt and Road Initiative, the implementation of newly signed document on capacity building, expansion of cooperative items of Customs cooperation at regional level, active participation in projects of Sino-Europe Customs cooperation and close coordination on multilateral affairs.

During the meeting, Yu Guangzhou and Ms. Berckel signed the Cooperation Plan in 2018- 2022 between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Tax and Customs Administration of Netherlands.
