Minister Ni Yuefeng meets with Ms. Carola Schouten, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Netherlands.
On July 2, Minister Ni Yuefeng visited the Netherlands and signed bilateral cooperation agreements.
In Hague, Minister Ni and Ms. Carola Schouten, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Netherlands attended the Sino-Dutch Ministerial Meeting on Animal and Plant Quarantine and Food Safety. The two sides held in-depth discussions on quarantine E-certificates, SPS technical cooperation, and Dutch agricultural product export to China, and signed the Agreed Minutes of the SPS High Level Meeting of 2018 Between General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Netherlands, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Between General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on Cooperation of Safety Assurance in Import and Export Fishery Products, the Protocol Between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on Inspection, Quarantine and Veterinary Sanitary Requirements for Veal to be Exported from Netherlands to China, the Protocol Between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on Quarantine, Inspection and Veterinary Health Requirements for Dutch Lard for food to be Imported from the Netherlands to China and the Protocol Between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on Quarantine and Health Requirements for Horses to be Imported from the Netherlands to China.
On the same day, Minister Ni paid a visit to the Port of Rotterdam and had a bilateral meeting with Ms. Nanette van Schelven, General Director of the Customs Administration of the Netherlands, during which they exchanged views on a number of topics, including strengthening capacity building cooperation, promoting twinning cooperation in customs regions, engaging in China-EU supply-chain cooperation for security and facilitation and improving law-enforcement cooperation. They also signed the Working Arrangement between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Customs Administration of the Netherlands on Strengthening Twinning Cooperation between Customs Regions and Agreed Minutes of the Meeting between the Delegation of the General Administration of Customs of China and the Delegation of the Customs Administration of the Netherlands.
Minister Ni also made a study tour on overseas pre-shipment inspection on solid waste materials to be exported to China.
