On March 10, Xiamen Customs started using the Integrated Cross-Border E-Commerce Import Platform, clearing first-batch inbound goods in 95 e-commerce consignments worth over RMB32,000 yuan.
Developed by the General Administration of Customs, this system has achieved high-efficient clearance of cross-border e-commerce importation by automatic comparison among transaction, logistics and payment information. Besides, Xiamen Customs is connecting this system with the “Single Window” platform in order to provide “one-stop” service covering traditional trade modes, cross-border e-commerce and express mails on the easy-to-use system. The “Single Window” platform can be used to take clearance formalities, without the need to download other systems.
In 2016, Xiamen Customs processed 30,138,900 commodities inbound and outbound by cross-border e-commerce, up 54.16% year-on-year.
