On May 16, one foreign engineering ship arrived at the port of Sanya under the control of Haikou Customs District, with the mission to lay subsea pipelines for Lingshui gas-field development project of Hainan Province.

In order to prevent external epidemic, subordinate Sanya Customs made closed control and quarantine on the inbound ship. Through the “Single Window” declaration platform, the Customs got the information of the foreign ship and the crew before their entry, filing all 237 crew-members with their recent traveling and health records to scientifically assess the epidemic risk. Customs officers directed every crew-member to fill out their health declaration forms and quickly made an epidemiological survey over them. After that, the entry quarantine was conducted at an offshore anchorage near Sanya Port.    

On that morning, customs officers got aboard the ship for inspection and quarantine, including body-temperature monitoring, blood sampling and epidemiological survey. All the examination items were carried out simultaneously by different workgroups so as to finish the quarantine in the shortest time.
