On March 12, the Post Office of Wuhan Customs District seized 11 aloe plants of the lily family from within two inward mails. Through identification by a relevant agency under State Forestry Administration, the seized aloe plants belong to the protected varieties that are enlisted in appendix II of CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora). Now, the case has been transferred to the anti-smuggling department for further investigation.
