On June 20 in Yunnan Province, Kunming Customs-affiliated Ruili Customs House seized 15,380 pairs of slippers infringing on “Adidas” intellectual property right (IPR).
That day, at the border trade passage, Ruili Customs officers inspected an outbound vehicle with exporting slippers and found 8,140 pairs printed with a logo similar to “Adidas” trademark and 7,240 pairs with a design similar to Adidas Originals. But the exporter had no certificate of authorized manufacture and sale. So, the Customs contacted Adidas AG to confirm the IPR infringement. Now, all those slippers have been detained by the Customs.
