Minister Yu Guangzhou holds Bilateral Meeting with Commissioner of Korea Customs Service

On November 1, Minister Yu Guangzhou held a bilateral meeting with Mr.Kim Nak-hoe, Commissioner of Korea Customs Service, in Seoul, Korea.

 

Minister Yu made eight proposals on enhancing customs corporation as below. Both sides should make full use of their advantages to serve for the alignment of their national strategies. Cooperation on origin should be promoted to support the building of China-Korea Free Trade Zone. AEO mutual recognition cooperation should be deepened aiming to serve as a cooperation model. Law enforcement cooperation should be strengthened and a coordination mechanism of anti-smuggling should be built. Communications on customs clearance procedures should be encouraged to promote trade facilitation in both countries. Joint efforts should be made on protection of intellectual property rights to maintain a fair and orderly trade environment. Capacity building cooperation should be enhanced and long term training cooperation mechanism should be built. The twin cooperation programs should be further improved with new cooperation projects launched.
