From April 15 to 18, Changsha Customs District seized 4 incompliant cases of export anti-epidemic supplies that were falsely declared, falsely certificated, and unaccompanied by important information at Changsha Huanghua International Airport.
On April 15, Huanghua Airport Customs House found an export of 400 personal protective glasses to be falsely declared as “medical anti-radiation goggles” and unaccompanied by medical device registration information.
On April 16, the Airport Customs found that an export of anti-epidemic supplies, including 300 protective suits and 500 face masks, were printed with the “FDA” mark while the exporter could not provide real certification information, resulting in a false certification.
On April 18, the Airport Customs seized two more cases of such incompliance: regarding an export of 1 million non-medical masks, shelf-life information was missing in their quality certificate; regarding another export of 9,000 medical masks, their declared model was outside of the medical device registration of the manufacturer concerned.
Now, the aforesaid 4 incompliant exports are detained by the Airport Customs for further investigation. In accordance with relevant GACC requirements, Changsha Customs District will intensify the statutory inspection over export anti-epidemic supplies by severely punishing illegal and incompliant actions.
