Customs officers inspect the logs from Guiana.

Recently in Gongbei Customs District, Zhongshangang Customs House inspected a batch of logs from Guiana and found live insects in the timbers. Through laboratory identification, the insects were confirmed to be Coptotermes of the termite kind, a quarantine pest that is destructive to eco-environment. By far, the Customs House has kept the imported logs under strict quarantine with pest extermination process.
