Changsha Customs Ensures China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo

From June 27 to 29, the first session of China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo was held in Changsha, Hunan Province, drawing in more than 3,500 exhibitors and purchasers from home and abroad, with the number of spectators beyond 100,000.

 

To ensure the smooth operation of the Expo, Changsha Customs provided consultation and clearance services regarding tariff guarantee, access approval, customs declaration and so on in response to the needs of exhibitors; improved local infrastructure such as smart quarantine channel and quarantine chambers at the airport; strengthened epidemic risk monitoring at key areas with emergency disposal capability; stationed 31 officers at the expo site to make exhibit clearance and give other help.

 

By the expo opening day, Changsha Customs has registered 269 kinds of exhibits including animal-plant products, food, handicrafts and jewelry, and helped 58 guests from Africa attend the event.
