From October 20 to 23 , Mr. Li Shuyu, Member of the CPC Leadership Group of GACC, Head and Secretary of the CPC Leadership Group of Guangdong Sub-Administration, visited Turkey with a Customs delegation.

Mr. Li Shuyu had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Mehrnet Hadi TUNC, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Republic of Turkey, during which they exchanged views on the issue of animal and plant quarantine and cooperation on import and export food security. They then signed the Memorandum of Understanding between General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Republic of Turkey in the Field of Plant Quarantine.

Mr. Li also made an on-the-spot investigation into enterprises of fruit planting, processing and trading in Turkey and had working talks respectively with Mr. Yu Hongyang, Chinese Ambassador to Turkey, and Mr. Cui Wei, Chinese Consul-General in Istanbul.
