From November 26 to 27, Minister Ni Yuefeng led a delegation to Brazil and signed bilateral cooperation documents with Brazilian counterparts.

Minister Ni met with Mr. Jorge Rachid, Secretary of the Department of Federal Revenue of Brazil. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral customs cooperation especially on anti-smuggling and law enforcement, AEO mutual recognition, risk management, and collaboration in multilateral mechanisms such as WCO and BRICS. Later, Minister Ni met with Mr. Blairo Maggi, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply of Brazil, and exchanged views on enhancing bilateral cooperation on food safety and animal and plant health, expanding cooperation on mutual market access, and facilitating bilateral agricultural trade. The two Ministers jointly signed the MOU on Fruit Quarantine Technique Cooperation and the MOU on Import and Export Fisheries Hygiene and Safety. 

During his visit, Minister Ni also met with Ms. Chen Peijie, Chinese Consul General to Saint Paul, and with Ms. Xia Xiaoling, minister counsellor at the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil.
