Customs seizure of illegally carried-in ginseng, totaling 5.12 kilograms

On January 7, Shenyang Customs officers at Shenyang Taoxian International Airport seized a batch of fresh ginseng, totaling 5.12 kilograms that was illegally carried by an inbound passenger from South Korea. 

The batch of ginseng has been detained by the Customs for further investigation as per China’s Law on Entry-Exit Quarantine of Animals and Plants and China’s Catalogue of Animals, Plants, Animal and Plant Products and Other Quarantine Objects Prohibited from being Carried or Posted into China.
