Customs officers inspect the inbound solid waste.

Recently, Rizhao Customs House (subordinate to Qingdao Customs District) seized 31,800 tons of illegally imported solid waste, with 12,300 tons prohibited and 19,500 tons restricted in import.

The above goods, all carried in by one ship, were declared as “unsintered iron ore lumps” and “sintered iron ore sand” respectively. Through professional identification by the authority, they were confirmed to be solid waste containing waste slag and non-ferrous substances, which are respectively prohibited and restricted by the state from being imported.
