Customs officers supervise the ship destruction process.

On August 3, under the control of Lianyungang Customs in Nanjing Customs District, 5 illegal ships without name/number, certificate and port of registry were destroyed by disassembly according to law.

In recent years, Lianyungang Customs has been hitting petroleum product smuggling by sea. The 5 destroyed ships, earlier seized in such smuggling activities, were not provided with legal operational formalities, i.e. being without ship name/number, without certificate and without port of registry. 

A professional agency was entrusted by the Customs with the ship destruction in an eco-friendly manner, which has been completed by now.
