From 7 to 8 May, Vice Minister Li Guo led a delegation to attend the 20th World Customs Organization (WCO) Asia-Pacific Regional Customs Administration Heads Conference in Cochin, India, and visited the customs operation sites.

During the meeting, Li Guo delivered a speech, in which he provided China Customs’ vision on future international Customs cooperation by suggesting that Customs Administrations adopt a SMART approach and take their due responsibility in protecting the environment. Mr. Li Guo also participated in discussions on trade facilitation and capacity building, and held bilateral talks with WCO Secretary General, Chairman of India's Central Board of Indirect Tax and Customs, Minister of Iran Customs and Deputy Head of Vietnam Customs. 

During his stay in India, Li Guo also visited the Customs operation site at the International Container Transshipment Terminal, and held a meeting with representatives of CCIC India Pvt. Ltd.
