SHIJIAZHUANG, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Customs in northern China's Hebei Province have seized 4 kg of products made of endangered wild animals, netting one suspect.
Rhino and antelope horns, tiger bones and bear bile were among the items seized, said an official with the Shijiazhuang customs on Saturday.
The official said since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, a virus that experts believed was transmitted from wild animals, Chinese customs have strengthened efforts to fight against the smuggling of wild animals and wildlife products.
On Feb. 24, the country's top legislature adopted a decision on thoroughly prohibiting the illegal trade of wildlife and eliminating the consumption of wild animals.
