On December 4, the H986 inspection equipment for small vehicles was formally put into use at the Mandula port in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, signaling the full application of this equipment at all ports in Hohhot Customs District. 

The H986 can make one-off inspection over an inbound/outbound vehicle, reducing the inspection time per car to just one minute, instead of 30 minutes without its application, thus improving clearance speed greatly. 

In recent years, Hohhot Customs has made extensive applications of sci-tech equipment capable of non-intrusive inspection, enhancing customs clearance efficiency at ports. Nowadays, the Customs District has 11 sets of H986 equipment in service.
