Customs seizure of stud earrings that infringe Chanel trademark
Recently in Nanjing Customs District, subordinate Changshu Customs House seized a batch of stud earrings that are infringing on Chanel trademark right.
Several days ago, Changshu Customs officers found 4,800 stud earrings concealed in an export consignment of rubber shoes to Botswana. Those stud earrings were all made in the pattern of Chanel trademark. By contacting Chanel, Inc., this Customs finally confirmed the infringement on the trademark right that's been registered with China Customs.
At present, Changshu Customs has confiscated the IPR-infringing stud earrings, with administrative penalty on the exporters involved.
